In Singapore, a vibrant and dynamic city, there are people who quietly pursue a sincere and meaningful path in life. Through meditation, they discover a sense of inner ease and well-being, bringing peace and happiness to themselves, their families, and the wider community. They believe that true peace in the world begins with inner peace.
For over 20 years, Dhammakaya Centre (Singapore) (DCS) has been teaching and promoting meditation for everyday life, welcoming people of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs.
Over the years, the centre has grown, with increasing participation in classes and activities. As a result, the limitations of the rented premises made a permanent home an important step forward.
In 2013, the land at 6 Sumang Walk, Punggol was awarded to DCS. After several years of planning and construction, the purpose-built 5-storey centre was completed in 2017. The building's design is inspired by the gesture of palms placed together, a symbol of respect and openness that welcomes all who seek inner peace.
